Choose the right setup
- Use the free Feed filter when you still want profiles, search and other Instagram sections.
- Use Messages Only when the inbox should be the first and primary destination.
- Add the free Reels and Explore filters if those surfaces still pull you away from the conversation.
- Neither option changes the native Instagram app outside Awhile.
Option 1: hide the home feed for free
The Feed filter removes the algorithmic home feed in Awhile’s browser. DMs remain accessible through Instagram’s navigation, as do search, profiles and any other section you have not hidden.
This setup suits people who want to browse intentionally but do not need the inbox to open first. Each filter remains independent, so you can hide Feed and Reels while leaving Stories visible, for example.
Option 2: make messages the destination
Messages Only is a Premium navigation mode. Instead of merely hiding the home feed, it routes the account directly into Instagram’s web inbox. The product path becomes open Awhile, read the message, reply and leave.
The mode is useful when communication is the legitimate reason Instagram stays installed. It reduces exposure to unrelated sections without claiming to turn Instagram into a standalone messenger.
Privacy and practical limits
Awhile does not send the Instagram content you view, credentials or login cookies to ARCKONE. The session is stored locally on the device, while Instagram still receives normal browser requests when you use its website.
The web inbox can differ from Meta’s native DM interface. Awhile does not make speculative promises about audio, temporary media or account-specific interactions that cannot be reproduced reliably.
